The wriggling creature tried to put up a fight with Camille as she held him close to her. He wasn't getting put down until he learned not to bite some random ass Chikorita. Eventually the little monster stopped his squirming, threw his head up, and glared at Camille with his maw half open. It was quite obvious that his next move was to - bite? The Totodile glared up at Camille and in return Camille gave a threatening glare back, and right as he was about to snap well - Camille booped his nose. The Pokémon, confused by the interaction, gave a hesitant," Diiiiiiii," and relaxed himself, becoming deadweight as he clamped his jaws shut.
Now that that was taken care of, Camille gave a lingering glance toward the other newbie trainer and her Pokémon. The Cyndaquil appeared to be a nice match for Lucia. After all, it had taken to her pancakes that she had brought along with her from home. She assumed anyway. Camille dipped her head toward the blonde girl and her fire starter," Nice choice," she remarked and turned her attention to the professor. He looked like he had something to say. Of course, while she waited for him to speak, names began to circle in her mind for her newfound starter. What would be a fitting name for this little devil?
Professor Elm had been watching the two thoughtfully for a moment as he gained his bearings, trying to decide what to say next. He glanced between both girls before he finally decided to speak. "I have a favor to ask of the two of you." He put a hand into his pocket, rustling the remaining papers inside nervously," I need the two of you to go to Mr. Pokemon's house - It's passed Cherrygrove City in Route 30. And now that you have your own partner Pokémon I feel that it's safe for the two of you to go check things out. If it wouldn't be too much trouble for the two of you, of course."
At this new bit of information, Camille glared bitterly at the Professor but didn't say anything in response. She just wanted to get on with her journey. She didn't want to waste time doing this; however, the girl waited for Lucia to give a response. Camille figured that she knew the other girl's answer - especially her earlier interactions that were basically brimming with excitement - and because he had asked the two of them, Camille knew that whatever the other girl chose was what would be her decision as well. Oh well. Maybe in the little visit to this dude's house she might get to bond with her new starter before she could really start off on her journey.

After finishing off his own breakfast, the Cyndaquil let out the most adorable yawn Lucia had ever heard before dropping his head across her arms and falling asleep. Precious! Definitely a good pick, and the young girl flashed Camille a smile at her compliment. "Thanks!" She chirped, before glancing down at the Totodile, who seemed to fall victim to the Nose Boop of Discipline. Lucia smirked at it's confused look and cocked her head at his large jaw. "I wonder how many pancakes he can eat in one bite with a mouth like that... Probably, like, at least eleven." Lucia nodded to herself at her own counting abilities before the professor started talking again.
As he spoke, Lucia was losing motivation to do really anything for this man. Sure, it was selfish, but it was his job to give them Pokémon. They weren't his slaves after the transaction was done. But now that she was a 'law abiding citizen' (actual trash), Marina would inform her to get the chore over with as fast as possible before starting her journey. As reluctant as she may be. Lucia risked a glance at Camille, who was looking over at her, and pouted ever so slightly. Fooey. Looks like they were in for... Whatever this was. Gah. But she threw the professor a smile and nodded.
"Sounds good! Here's to hoping we don't get lost. Just up Route 30, right? Can't miss it?" She hoped not. Lucia didn't even own a map, let alone wanted to. She couldn't read them to save her life. But it wouldn't be good if she got lost so early in her journey, doing a favor no doubt. "We'll be back faster than you can blink, right Camille?" Lucia purred, namedropping like a boss. With a cheerful salute, she pivoted and trotted to the door, determined to get this done and over with as fast as possible. Why he couldn't walk there himself was beyond her, or Mr. Pokémon could just... Deliver it himself. Or ask someone to. But it was fine. It was cool. Maybe the could check out the Pokémon in the area, see if they find anything they liked. Maybe even add some to their teams. Lucia grinned as she stepped outside and saw... A dude? His hair was crimson - some weird goth boy, she guessed - in a black and red jacket bent down in the bushes, looking through the window of the lab.
Lucia looked around, wondering if anyone else saw this stalker doing this, but no one seemed to notice, or care. The little people awake at this moment were focused on themselves, and themselves alone. She made a popping noise, unsure what to do, because this was... Weird. Then again, she didn't care. Maybe he was just a nervous fanboy or something. Shrugging, she pulled her eyes away from the sight to wait for Camille, hopping on the balls of her feet. Wasn't her problem anyway.
