Hazing could be interesting. Other times, it was super boring. If Ivy had any say in it though, and this year she made sure she did, it was going to be interesting and wild and hopefully fun too, but definitely wild. And she didn't care about the people living around the frat houses. They probably paid way less for their houses because they were around a frat in the first place, so why not make it worth the money they were saving? And worth all the money she was dumping into college?
Some might have found her rude. She thought it made perfect sense.
They chose one of the largest frats around and she spent most her day there, having even brought clothes and makeup with her so she wouldn't have to leave after the preparations were done. Alcohol, plenty of cups, remove anything breakable, alcohol, make sure she looked as hot as possible, food, alcohol, and so on. And then she started drinking while waiting for people to show up.

The boys knew they had arrived at the right place, when the first thing right at the entrance they were required to chug a whole beer in one go. Easy enough for a start, Shin-Il thought to himself after slamming down the beverage. He felt it bubbling down his throat, definitely not mixing well with the rum and coke he had been drinking previously. They moved along, greeting the people they knew and getting more and more drunker as the challenges progressed.
A few hours later, when Shin-Il was pleasantly between the line of "fucked up beyond help" and "life of the party" drunk, he noticed a familiar face near a group of girls. He steadied himself with one hand against the wall and looked more intently, trying his best to make out who it was. After ten seconds of thinking he finally recognized her. It was the girl across the hallway, Illy or Eva or something like that. Following the recognition he took it his mission to woo this particular girl, since she hadn't been very receptive to his charms before, he recalled.
With a dance in his steps, Shin-Il moved to meet Ivy, a drunken smile playing on his lips.
"Heyyyyyy," the man greeted her, throwing his arm around her shoulders casually. "How have you been, miss? Haven't seen you around for a while." he asked, trying his best to focus his eyes upon her. In all fairness, the girl was very beautiful and if he managed to score with her, it'd be the best boost to his social life. He usually wouldn't think to even do anything like this, but the alcohol was doing its job very effectively. In the background you could just barely hear the encouraging 'woop's of Shin-Ils friends.

Most of the evening went pretty well! Accidents were minor -- so far -- and she had successfully escaped every guy so far without too much difficulty, though she knew that it would get harder to keep them away when everyone got more drunk. Guys were worse at understanding the meaning of no and were much better at being way too forward. Case in point, one of their freshman, the one who now lived across the hallway from her and the one she had been trying to avoid but at least be distantly cordial towards since they lived so close.
Ivy knew that was all gonna change the moment she saw Newbie -- for she had forgotten his name -- sidle up towards her and, to her disgust, throw his arms over her shoulder like they were best pals. She quickly shrugged him off and moved back, a scowl cast over her pretty features.
"Pity it couldn't stay that way," she snapped, her ire raised now. "If you didn't live across the hall from me it would be a lot easier and believe me, my life would be a lot better."
Honestly, men! Perhaps it was not so fair of her to lay so much blame on them when she used to be pushy herself and plenty of other girls could be pushy too, and really bitchy if they were turned away, but she only saw one side of the argument at this point. Her side. And while she had good reasons that she kept to herself, it still wasn't fair.

Shin-Il was momentarily taken aback by the girl's response. Even though his experience with girls wasn't all that extensive, he had never been shot down this hard when he had been interested. Usually, he was the one shooting the girls down, who were trying to hit on him. During high school he mostly steered clear of girls since he knew they would take his attention away from studies, and that wouldn't fly well with his parents at all. But this, this was different. The girl sounded like she was completely disgusted by his presence, which made him determined to try even harder.
"Oh, come on now. Don't be so mean," the young man said, manifesting the largest puppy eyes he could whilst completely drunk out of his mind. "I just find you-" he paused for a small burp, away from Ivy's face of course, "I just find you very attractive." Shin-Il finished his sentence, only slurring a few times during it. "Do you maybe, want to come over to my place for the night?" he leaned down to her ear, being quite a bit taller than her. He hoped this could make her into him more, considering how her friends had eyed him up as he entered their circle before.

Disgust wasn't a strong enough word for the look on her face at his invitation, his actions, and frankly, the alcohol on his breath. She drank plenty too and no doubt smelled similar, just like almost every other person here, but that didn't mean she liked the smell. Especially on guys. Especially on really annoying guys who lived across the hall from her and were currently and obviously trying to get her to sleep with them, despite what she would have thought to be a really obvious hint to go away and leave her alone. So far she had thought she was pretty lucky that most guys learned to avoid her and was now lamenting that this Newbie hadn't learned the same thing.
"Gross," said she once she was finally able to summon words instead of gagging. All right, so he wasn't bad looking. So what? He was still revolting in his actions if nothing else. "Just leave me alone, all right? I don't want you or any other guy hitting on me."
Some of them wanted explanations. Ivy had them and could have told them her reasons for pushing away every guy, especially since she used to have a rep for dating a lot of different men, but it wasn't any of their business. They were nosy to ask. All that Ivy wanted to do tonight was get absolutely smashed and then go home with her girlfriends where they would all crash and wake up miserably hungover and then probably cry together as they wallowed in pain and self-pity. Seemed fun.

As soon as the rejection by Ivy was made extremely clear he stepped back. Not because he was done trying to sleep with her, but he felt a strange bubbling in his stomach. The evening had been a lot of different alcohols together, both in shot and cocktail form. Those didn't seem to be mixing very well in the pit of his alcohol filled stomach.
"Excuse me, ladies." Shin-Il managed to blurt out, before turning around and attempting to hurry to the bathroom. But alas, his stomach had other plans in mind. As soon as the boy turned and took one step, the contents of his stomach forced themselves out of him. Luckily for him, they were outside. Unluckily, he just threw up in front of everyone during hazing week. This will leave a mark, he nodded to himself.
When Shin-Il finished emptying everything he had drank that night onto the grass, he looked up and saw something he wished wasn't true. Ivy had her phone out and it definitely looked like she was filming. Now, he had embarrassed himself enough for one night but a video would embarrass him for the rest of his school life.
So the young man did what anyone would, he sprinted towards the dorms, leaving his friends behind. While running, he was hoping to anything that Ivy wasn't actually filming or that she wouldn't put it up somewhere. Though he knew, that it would most definitely happen and his reputation would be ruined before he could even start building it.

Revenge was oh so beautifully sweet and he made it oh so easy. This video was going everywhere.
She watched him leave with amused satisfaction and, humming contentedly under her breath, returned to her seat to start uploading the video. Social media was always buzzing around this time with hazing and everything and this would do well, she knew. Especially since everything was way funnier when you're drunk. "Pretty funny regardless," she said out loud to no one, hitting the post button. Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, all of it. Maybe he'd learn to stop harassing her after that.
So it was a little cruel. He had only just started college and was going to end up spending the rest of it as 'that guy' if he wasn't lucky enough for everyone to forget about it. Some would, and in time it wouldn't be a massive deal, but she knew she wouldn't forget it and had a strong feeling he wouldn't forget it either. And look at that, people were already sharing it.

Beep. Beep. Beep.
Shin-Il's phone screeched next to his ear, indicating that another morning had arrived. He lazily smacked his phone until it stopped its offending noises. The boy turned onto his back and stared at the ceiling, letting out a deep sigh. It had been a week since the incident, and his social and school life couldn't be worse. He can't go anywhere without being recognized, mocked, or generally talked about behind his back. It was all because of her. That vengeful wench that lived across the hall from him. She had ruined college for him. The first weeks are the most important, and he had been publicly shamed immediately. All his chances at the greatest years were ruined. All his chances at ever getting laid during school were ruined. He imagined that even getting friends would be nearly impossible at this rate.
As his thoughts kept racing and creating new scenarios, Shin-Il was brought out of this trance by the second alarm he had set for himself. The boy switched that off as well and got out of bed. A full day of classes was ahead of him and even though he wasn't going to get any fun out of school, he wasn't going to let his grades slip because of it. He dragged himself into the shower, thinking about the delicious cold rice in his fridge and going over the material in his head which he'd revised last night.

Ivy should have felt bad, but she didn't. And yes, nearly everyone here had been in the same or similar shoes as he had been but not everyone had it smeared all over the internet, and somehow that made all the difference. Somehow that made it okay to mock someone for it. Didn't make sense, really, and was frankly hypocritical, but Ivy couldn't find it in her to care. He had been acting like a prick and in her mind, it was just fair.
So now, busy with studying, Ivy hadn't given the incident much more thought since it happened even though she still saw him fairly often considering that he lived across the hall. It only really came to her mind when someone on her social media feeds shared the video -- again -- or tried to talk to her about it, but she shut them all down as quickly as possible. Not something she cared to talk about when there were more important things in her life to worry about. More guys to turn away, though most of them backed off after that video went viral around the college and everyone knew it was her who had done it. More studying to do. It never ended.
Ivy was up early and in one of the lounges, earphones in and her mind focused on her work. There was a coffee sitting next to her on the table and she was curled up, her near-white hair pulled back into a ponytail. Just casual and comfortable.
